Share the Warmth

This is a photo of an interactive piece. To create this piece Rachel had a group of individuals each select a seat that they would sit on, but first touch the pillow and feel its temperature. Once they were done she had them all sit down. She explained how she made the pillows and then had them exchange seats with someone else, but before they could sit down again, she again had them touch the seat and feel its temperature. Once they all sat down she explained how we all effect this world in many ways: some known and some mysterious. If we are cold to someone else, that is felt, as is kind warmth to someone who needs it. For participating in her piece she let all who participated keep the pillow they were seated on with the one condition that they take their pillow and use it to “share the warmth.”
